Traditional Bargello Jacket using 7 fabrics

Choose Straight Bargello Workshop “Purple Garden”

Slant Bargello Workshop “Midnight Glacier”

In this class students will create their own unique bargello jacket using 7 different fabrics.  We will learn the basic techniques for creating bargello with tube construction, and how to use this to design our own unique figure flattering quiltwear.  These jackets are beautiful. Midnight Glacier or Purple Garden Pattern & fabrics should be purchased prior to class.
 
1 day (6 hr.) class
Pre-class preparation required
 Page 1 and 2 of Jacket pattern completed before class.

Pre-requisite: the jacket fitting class is recommended. OR Student may use their own jacket pattern suitable for quiltwear.  If uncertain of fit, do a muslin sample before class.

Difficulty level: Beginner – Intermediate 
Basic sewing skills are required.  Garment construction skills are helpful.

 Supply List
 Yardage:  Choose 7 fabrics 

Note: please purchase more if you are a plus size or are very tall.

Also purchase ½ fabric yard for facings
3 yards muslin 36” or 45” width
1 yard Lite Steam a seam
2 ½ - 3 yards lining
